If you have a big suitcase and need to stow it for longer period, you may want to check it in at a nearby hotel at 5 euro per piece per day. "The lockers are good size and it's worthwhile if you only need to stow your bags for 1-2 hours and also have a few small bags. It would have been less stressful if there had been signs to make it easier to find without asking multiple people (& hoping they spoke enough English to answer my touristy question haha), if you had more payment options, & if you could pay at the end instead of guessing at the time (although with your bag locked up that may make it difficult to pay, so I kinda get it □)" (Doge's Palace & Correro Museum both had free on-site bag storage). Mark's Basilica was a good choice for us. You also MUST choose ahead of time how long you want the locker, so guess on the longer end to be safe.
